Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn was born in the United States. Her most well-known role is her part as Skyler White in The AMC television drama Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Other characters include Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in love with acting in preparation for her first job before moving her family in Ohio. She took classes at Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey with Chicago-area theaters over a number of years. She then moved on into film and TV. In 1992, Anna landed her first big performance in the role of Arden in 29 episodes from Down the Shore. The actress continued to make appearances as the guest on a small number of television shows as well as movies, such as Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue up to the end of 1990's, when she was tapped in a recurring role in The Practice as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood during two complete seasons. In 2008 she was also cast as Skyler on Breaking Bad. Sully was the Deadwood film and several other films also featured her. Gunn did not stop at the stage starring in David Schwimmer's production of Sex With Strangers. Also, she appeared in Numbered Day, which is a podcast made up of four plays. The love story that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the tale on Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and its eventual demise arguably echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final days of life.
